![]() Where is the dive going on which day? We rarely promise specific sites for a variety of reasons. Number one
is the combination of weather and sea states and number two is that
except for a handful of sites each site has only one mooring. The moorings
were placed to eliminate anchor damage so if another boat has the mooring
we are forced to go elsewhere. The exception to this rule is the Wreck
of the Rhone. The wreck is requested often so we pick one or two days each
week to visit and try to get all our Rhone divers to agree upon a particular
day. Due to the depth and layout of the wreck, it takes most divers two
dives to fully cover the site.
![]() What is your dive schedule? We do two dives every morning, leaving at 9:30 am and returning between
12:30 and 1:30 pm, and one dive every afternoon departing at 2:30 pm and
returning between 4:00 and 4:30 pm. Our Discover Scuba Diving class
is offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons and we have guided
snorkeling tours on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturday afternoons. Discover
Scuba Diving starts at 1:00 pm and the dive goes out at 2:30 pm at
the same time as the snorkel tours and returns between 4:00 and 4:30.
![]() Do I need reservations for the trips? Our boat holds up to ten divers and twelve snorkelers so reservations
are always a good idea. Discover Scuba Diving requires a self medical checklist
and equipment needs to be tried on BEFORE the start time.
![]() Should I bring my own gear? Yes, buoyancy control devices and regulators that you are familiar with can only enhance your diving experience. Fins are a must, our rental fins are designed for surface snorkeling and “don’t cut the mustard” for the demands of pushing a fully laden diver against a current. In our minds, ScubaPro is the gear of choice, therefore our rental equipment
is ScubaPro - all new as of October 2002 and maintained by a ScubaPro Technician.
So for those “old school divers” whose BCD and Reg set is at least 20 years
old (you boast), feel free to leave them at home. Our equipment will out
perform anything of that era.
![]() Pet Peeves - We’ve asked our staff what diver behaviors bother them most. Tiiffany says it’s divers who follow so close to her fins that she can’t kick. Randy really dislikes it when divers fib about their air consumption. Randy also gets annoyed by divers who throw their gear all over the boat and then take 20 minutes to get in the water. We all universally cringe inwardly whenever a diver asks for 26 pounds of lead. Kamla and Mark have the same pet peeve which is that they really dislike divers who chase marine life and scare it away. Another universal peeve was divers who show no enthusiasm for what they are seeing. Stay tuned for Sue's pet peeves when she returns. Any other questions, be sure to drop us an email. We look forward to diving or snorkeling with you! ![]() ![]() |
